  • Boat Buckle Retractable Tie Down Strap Replacement
  • The BoatBuckle G2 Retractable, Ratchet Transom Tie-Downs # IMF14256 do not have replacement straps available. You will need to replace the entire system. To keep the new strap from chaffing on the bottom of your boat, I recommend using the BoatBuckle Protective Boat Pads for 2" Wide Tie-Down Straps - Qty 2 # IMF13180 to safeguard your strap from wear and tear.

  • Replacement Bunk Carpet, Winch, and Transom Tie Down for Boat Trailer
  • For a winch you will need to choose the right one based on the weight of your boat and the trailer setup. A common ratio for determining your winch load capacity is 2:1. For example, a 2,200-lb boat generally requires a 1,100-lb winch. If the same boat were winched a short distance with a low incline and with rollers in good condition, it can be safely winched with a 900-lb winch. The boat requires a winch with a 2,200-lb capacity if you are winching a longer distance with more resistance;...

  • How to Determine the Correct Spindle for a 2007 Ranger Boat Trailer
  • I did some research on a 2007 Ranger Boat Trailer but could not find much information about the spindles, so it is difficult to determine a compatible spindle. In order to determine what type of spindle your trailer has, you can take a few measurements. I have attached an image that shows the measurements to take as well as how to determine the compatible bearings, races and grease seals. If you take these measurements and still need assistance finding the best spindles, please reach back...

  • Are Replacement Parts Available for a Tie Down Engineering LP8000
  • The Tie Down Engineering LP8000 actuator isn't something we have direct replacement parts for. While we do have replacement solenoids and rebuild kits for some of the actuators we carry, I have no way of verifying whether this will fit your actuator so I recommend replacing the entire actuator to something that's still in production so you can get replacement parts easier in the future. For your application I recommend going with the Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator w/ Drop and Electric...

  • Replacement Calipers for TDE 46304 on 2012 Tandem Axle Boat Trailer
  • From what we have found in the past, the TDE 46304 calipers are for 9.6", 10" or 12" rotors. Assuming you have the 10" or 12" rotors you can use the Kodiak Disc Brake Caliper # KDBC225DAC as a replacement. These have a Dacromet plating and include ceramic brake pads.

  • Replacement Trailer Surge Brake Coupler For a ShoreLandr Trailer With Tie Down Engineering LP7000
  • It sounds like either the Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator for Disc # DX56FR or Drum # DX83FR brakes is going to be the best replacement option. According to the information I could find from ShoreLandr your trailer does use a 3" wide by 5" tall tongue. As I was unable to find exact information for a Tie Down Engineering LP7000 surge actuator I did see they offered an 70 LP which was rated for 7,000lbs. This Dexter has a similar design to the 70 LP from the limited documents I could find...

  • Replacement Hub And Spindle For TieDown 3,500-lb Axles
  • I spoke with Dexter Marine of Georgia, who bought the running gear portion of TieDown (axles, actuators, brakes, brake lines, spindles, leaf springs and hubs), and they mentioned that you can use a Easy Grease Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 3.5K Axles # AKIHUB-545-35-G-EZ-K for replacement hubs, and you can use these #84 spindles, depending on the length of the spindle needed: -For a #84 spindle, with 8-1/4" overall length, you can use # TRU64FR. -For a #84 spindle, with 9" overall length,...

  • Recommended Disc Brake Kit and Replacement TieDown Model 70E Actuator for Load Rite Boat Trailer
  • The Dexter DX7.5 Drop-N-Go Brake Actuator # 099-175-20 is a direct replacement for your Tie Down model 70E disc brake actuator with a 7000 lb capacity (Tie Down was bought out by Dexter back in 2017). Although I don't have a way of decoding your VIN, you should be able to call Load Rite and provide them with your VIN - they will be able to tell you exactly what kind of axle is on your trailer. If you can get back to me with your exact axle capacity and wheel bolt pattern, I will be happy...

  • Replacement Hub for Tie Down Engineering 11033
  • I believe we can narrow this down based on the information you are referencing. However, the best way to be sure is to measure your existing bearings or spindle with a digital caliper like the # PTW80157. It looks like one bearing is stamped with # L44649. The other bearing measurement taken was 1.40" which tells me they probably used a tape measure. The closest thing, and what would make the most sense, is that it was actually 1.378" and a # L68149 bearing. This bearing combination,...

  • We actually have the Brake Buddy 32220 reverse solenoid available with the Titan Solenoid Valve Replacement Kit # TK71-755-00. • Available Replacement Parts for Tie Down Engineering LP7000 Actuator
  • I may have a solution for you, but we don't offer replacement parts for your TieDown Engineering LP7000 actuator and I do know that they are becoming more difficult to come by in a lot of situations. However, we do have some replacement options available that would allow you to replace your old actuator with a comparable new unit. Like the 70LP, these actuators are a fit for a 2" hitch ball, but they just have a slightly larger capacity at 7,500 lbs; you'll want to choose the correct actuator...

  • Replacement Axle Recommendation for Galvanized Dexter Axle Torsion Axle
  • Thank you very much for the information and photos! The best replacement we have for that axle is the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System # A35RS545 which is rated for 3,500 lbs and comes with idler hubs that have a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. If you're wanting a direct replacement for your torsion axle then you'll need to reach out to a trailer dealer or Dexter Axle directly as those are a specialty item. Once piece of advice that I do have is that if you haven't been in the practice...

  • Replacing Drum Brake Actuator on Boat Trailer With Swing Away Coupler TDE LP7000
  • There is not going to be a direct replacement for your exact setup as Tie Down Engineering no longer manufacturers these. You will need to have the Actuator LP7000 cut out of your swing away front coupler. Then you will be able to weld in a section of 3" wide channel tongue which you will then be able to attach the Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator # DM72VR. Finally you will then use the Reverse Lockout Solenoid Kit # DM5836 since you have the reverse lockout valve.
